Visual identity and signage

Refurbishment of Rowes Arcade in Edward Street called for new building signage.

The design team researched the history of the Rowes building and designed a logotype and pattern in keeping with the heritage building.

The ‘ROWES’ logotype was derived from a period typeface while the background pattern was drawn from details on the building facade. This project was developed in conjunction with project architects, BVN.

Scope of work:
Brand identity, signage design and shop drawings.

*Project developed at Entica Design Strategy.

The door signage was designed to adopt elements from the building architecture.

The Edward street facade got a new awning and updated sign.

Details of the architecture were taken to complement the signage.

A Roman typeface was chosen to reflect the tradition and heritage of the building.
